Issue Number Four of Pterodáctilo, "revista de arte, literatura y lingüistica en el Departamento de Español y Portugués en el Universidad de Texas en Austin," which is an art, literature and linguistics magazine in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at The University of Texas at Austin.
Pterodáctilo is a sort of academic journal put out by the students in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at UT Austin. Its content and layout push toward a magazine and strive to stay away from the stereotype of the stuffy journal.
With help from the talented Joyce Lee on some of the opening spreads, I designed this issue in its entirety. I planned and executed it from global decisions like page margins and typeface choices down to the details such as the four-em dashes in the Obras Citadas and that one botched pull-quote.
Cover printed color digital. Interior printed b&w digital (aka xeroxed). Perfect-bound.
